The International Travel Oversight Committee reviews destinations using a variety of sources, including , , other non-U.S. government advisories, and International SOS, our assistance provider鈥檚 risk ratings

The following countries and regions are considered 鈥渉igh-risk鈥� and are subject to additional review and authorization under the y, in order to promote safety and mitigate risk.

• Countries or reegions with U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Risk Levels of 3 or 4; or

• Countries or regions with U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Risk Levels of 1 or 2 that have areas designated as 鈥淩econsider travel鈥� or 鈥淒o Not Travel鈥� when the travel itinerary brings the  individual to the high-risk region designated as 鈥淩econsider travel鈥� or 鈥淒o Not Travel.; or

• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Warning Level 3: Avoid Nonessential Travel Health Notice; or

• Countries or regions which, at the discretion of the university leadership, pose a high risk to MUSC travelers due to significant health, safety or security risks present.
